1. Nature, scope and purpose of collection, processing and use
Personal information is information that allows identification of a specific person. Included in this for example are name, contact details, and also photos, information about interests and hobbies or memberships. We collect, process and use your personal information only in accordance with legal provisions or with your consent.
Data collected by the system and protection of your privacy
We (or our online providers) collect data on each access to our Offer in the form of server log files. These contain name, date and time of web pages viewed, file names, volume of data transferred, access status of the server (file transferred, file not found, command not executed, etc.), browser type and version, and specific browser settings such as country or language characteristics, the user's operating system, previously visited page (referrer), IP address, requesting provider, access method/function (PC, mobile, remote access etc.) required by the requesting computer.
We use all log data only for statistical purposes, for the purpose of operation, security and optimisation of our Offer. However, we reserve the right also to examine log data if there is concrete evidence leading to reasonable suspicion of unlawful use.
Analysis is carried out only by authorised personnel who are obliged to comply with data protection regulations and are regularly sensitised with regard to the requirements of data protection. Access to the system takes place in accordance with stringent authorisation procedures. If business partners work on our behalf in the course of data processing (outsourcing), they are carefully selected according to BDSG specifications and contractually obliged to uphold data privacy.
If you contact us, for example using a contact form or by email, we save and use your data only as part of the respective business purpose or for processing of your enquiry.
If you wish to use specially protected applications from our Offer because of sensitive data, we require - in some cases this is a statutory obligation - mandatory details for registration or to process your order as a guest. Compulsory fields are marked accordingly and in each case comply with the requirement for data economy. Where your consent to the collection and use of your data is required, you shall be expressly advised about data protection before submitting your information. In each case data is encoded in accordance with current security standards.
For the purpose of optimal customer service, data we receive is processed in collaboration within the BARTEC group. This way we can avoid unnecessary multiplication of contact and provide you with one single contact person who is fully competent to address your specific concerns. We shall not share your information with third parties and nor of course shall we sell it.
Processing of personal data shall not and is not planned to take place outside the European Union (EU) or the European Economic Area (EEA), unless this is subsequently expressly stated in individual cases.
Please note that, for technical reasons, if our Offer is used with mobile devices precise data on location, including the geographic location of your device, may be collected, used and transmitted. In addition, further data may be collected, processed and used within the scope of the conditions of use of your respective telecommunications provider.
2. Methods for optimising our Offer
The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal information. All of the following elements function at least with your data in anonymous form since we do not connect information on user behaviour to the user profile. Thus in each case your IP address is registered without any personal details.
On individual pages of our Offer, different types of cookies are used. These are very small text files that are stored on your computer. They cause no damage and do not contain any personal information about you. These include both session cookies, which expire when your browser is closed, and persistent cookies. Additional cookies may be set according to the application, for example plug-ins. These cookies are pieces of code that support, for instance, the retrieval of values from the website address (URL), the linking of values to be passed to the service provider or the capture of form interrupts. This device-related information enables us to analyse the use of our Offer without personal data and to recognise the device you use on your next visit. Based on this information, we are able to improve our Offer for you (user-friendliness). The data collected shall not be linked to personal data relating to the bearer of the pseudonym. It shall not be passed to third parties.

For the purposes of marketing and of optimisation, the products and services of WiredMinds GmbH, Stuttgart, (www.wiredminds.de) are used on this website. Data is collected, processed and stored, and used to create usage profiles under a pseudonym. Where possible and practical, usage profiles are completely anonymous. Cookies may be used for this purpose. The data collected, which may include personal data, are transmitted to WiredMinds or collected directly by WiredMinds. WiredMinds may use information that is left behind by visits to the website in order to create anonymous usage profiles. The data acquired in this process shall not be used to personally identify any visitor to the website without the explicit consent of the person concerned, and it is not linked to any personal data relating to the bearer of the pseudonym. Any IP addresses shall be anonymised immediately after collection by deleting the last number block. Consent to the future collection, processing and storage of data can be revoked at any time by clicking on the following link: Exclusion from website tracking.
3. Additional applications in our Offer (third-party providers & social media)
We expand our Offer for you in part through links to carefully selected third parties. BARTEC can take no responsibility for either their content or their data protection policies. For technical reasons, your IP address is also obtained by third parties. In your interests we make every effort to provide only such content which suppliers of the IP address use solely for the delivery of content. However, we have no control over whether the third party stores the IP address, for example for statistical purposes. Insofar as it is known to us, we shall inform you of this. Tracking.
Use of social plug-ins: measure for protection of your privacy
We offer you the opportunity to show your interest in our Offer on any social media platforms you use. In so doing we have, in the interests of protecting your privacy, dispensed with the popular "like" buttons at the foot of the page and instead provide simple links to our pages on the platforms. In order to protect your privacy, we apply the so-called "2-click solution", i.e. the buttons for Facebook, Xing, Youtube and LinkedIn must first be actively clicked by you before you are able to transmit your data.
If you do not want social networks to associate data collected about our offer directly to your actual profile, please log out before visiting our offer on the respective social networks. You can also control or prevent the loading of the plug-ins with the corresponding add-on applications for your internet browser, for example, with a script blocker like "NoScript" (http://noscript.net). Alternatively, you can use a browser which by default provides better control options for advanced users (see paragraph 2).The following are provider-specific details of the services that we provide for you.
Use of Google AdServices
Our websites use applications of Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043.
Google Ad Services collects information about user behaviour through cookies. In addition, Google applies so-called "web beacons", invisible images about personal data and activities transmitted by the IP address to the Google server in the USA and processed or stored there. You can prevent the collection and further processing of your data from this application if you disable the execution of Java scripts in your browser or install an application that suppresses such scripts.
Detailed information on data processing practices by Google can be found in the provider's Data Protection Center under http://www.google.de/intl/en/policies/privacy/.
Use of social plug-ins or simple links
We offer you the opportunity to show your interest in our Offer on any social media platforms you use. In so doing we have, in the interests of protecting your privacy, dispensed with the popular "like" buttons at the foot of the page and instead provide simple links to our pages on the YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and Xing platforms. If you do not want social networks to associate data collected about our offer directly to your actual profile, please log out before visiting our offer on the respective social networks. You can also control or prevent the loading of the plug-ins with the corresponding add-on applications for your internet browser, for example with a script blocker like "NoScript" (http://noscript.net). Alternatively, you can use a browser which by default provides better control options for advanced users (see paragraph 2). If a user is not a member of the particular platform, there is nevertheless a possibility that it may find out and store his IP address. The following, therefore, is information on their data protection concept.
Instead of active plug-ins, we always apply simple links to our direct offers on the two platforms. You can find out about setting options for protecting privacy in Google's Data Protection Policy https://developers.google.com/+/web/buttons-policy and the answers to frequently asked questions (FAQ) http://www.google.com/intl/en/+1/button/.
According to Facebook only an anonymised IP address is stored when active buttons are used in Germany. Instead, we therefore use a simple link. Facebook provides data protection information under https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
4. Protections of your rights as an interested party (examples)
We have taken a wide range of technical and organisational measures to protect your data during processing.
The analysis of logged data is carried out by authorised personnel who are obliged to comply with data protection regulations and receive regular training. Access to our data processing systems takes place in accordance with stringent authorisation procedures.
If business partners work on our behalf in the course of data processing (outsourcing), they are carefully selected according to BDSG specifications and contractually obliged to uphold data privacy.
You may revoke consent to the storage of data and your email address, as well as their use for sending the newsletter to which you have subscribed, at any time. Revocation can be made via a link at the bottom of each newsletter email or informally to the address given in Section 5.
As a user you have the right to obtain information about the personal data stored about you free of charge. You also have a right to correct inaccurate data, delete or block your personal data insofar as they are not required for fulfilment of the contract, and deletion is not contrary to any legal obligation to retention.
If you access third party pages and files within our Offer and in the process transmit data relating to yourself, we should like to point out that this transfer of data over the internet may be unsecured and the data may thus be accessed by unauthorised parties.
Please note that we have no influence on the collection and use of your data when you visit or use our Offers through third parties, for example our profile on third party platforms. This applies to all methods of integrated interaction such as the leaving of picture/audio material or comments, unless these are not expressly, and for you recognisably, transmitted to our company, for example by email. The responsible party in each case is the operator of the platform visited and used by you.
