Temperature monitoring

The RedGuard^® system consists of a temperature sensor cable, an analysis and alarm generation device (PLC) and software. Systems can be conceived as autonomous units or may be integrated into an overlying system. Automatic alerting is a standard feature of all our system modules.

The sensor cable is based on patented, proprietary addressing and data transmission technology. It relies on a special, addressable sensor chip with an integrated temperature sensor, completely encapsulated in the cable. Variants are available on demand, based on our in-house assembly and extrusion line.

The SSP (Sensor Signal Processor) performs data acquisition at regular, pre-programmed intervals. Automated alarm generation can be user programmed using an action matrix. Furthermore, data logging and monitoring functions for visualization and further analysis can be programmed.

Several Accessories consisting of field deployable devices for test and diagnostics, software development devices, mounting clips for the sensor cable, access cables connecting a remote PLC to a distant sensor cable, break-out boxes connecting generic sensors to the sensor cable, connector and filter modules are available.

The basic operating Software (firmware) is running on the SSP. Diverse utilities and interface packages are available for data transfer in and out of the SSP.
